We would like to invite you to the Field trial visit on protected vegetables on Tuesday afternoon, August 4, 2026. We will start the visit with a few short presentations by various companies where they will provide an update on the latest developments regarding biological control, scouting, LED technology, and legislation. In addition, we will present our ongoing research projects, focusing among others on cucumber mosaic virus and purification techniques for wastewater. This is followed by a tour of the experimental fields. Trials in both organic greenhouse and tunnel cultivation will be discussed. Topics covered include bell peppers (rootstocks and weed trials), multifunctional service crops, attracting beneficial insects and monitoring bugs, as well as cultivation of innovative crops such as ginger. We will conclude with refreshments, ideal for chatting and networking.
This field trial visit qualifies as a training activity for the phytosanitary license.
