Funding program and funding body

The project BIOGREENET – "Boosting Innovation in Organic Greenhouses via stronger NETworks" – is supported by the European Union's Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under the grant agreement No. 101182871. Horizon Europe addresses climate change, supports the United Nations's Sustainable Development Goals and enhances the EU's competitiveness and growth. It facilitates collaboration and strengthens the impact of research by developing and implementing EU policies while tackling global challenges. Horizon Europe also aims to create jobs, harness the EU's talent, and promote industrial competitiveness, all within a reinforced European Research Area. Legal entities from the EU and associated countries are eligible to participate.

In addition, BIOGREENET is funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research, and Innovation (SERI) under the contract No. 25.00378. SERI is Switzerland's federal body responsible for national policy in education, research and innovation. SERI oversees and coordinates initiatives across these sectors, ensuring that they contribute to the country's long-term development and competitiveness. The agency supports education at all levels, fosters research activities, and promotes innovation to address societal and economic challenges. SERI works closely with universities, research institutions, and industry to ensure that research and innovation are aligned with national priorities and have practical applications.
