The BIOGREENET consortium
BIOGREENET unites 16 partners from ten countries, merging a diverse range of expertise that includes practice, research and policymakers. The project is coordinated by Nasilja Ismailova of Naturland.
Through a bottom-up, multi-actor approach, the project empowers producers, advisors, researchers and policymakers to co-develop solutions tailored to local and regional challenges in organic greenhouse production.
The consortium brings together frontrunners in organic greenhouse production and applies its extensive expertise in system innovation, participatory evaluation, and the identification of barriers to sustainable transformation.
BIOGREENET fosters cross-border collaboration, strengthens Agriculture Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS) and promotes the digital sharing of best practices to close knowledge gaps and accelerate uptake across the EU and beyond. In doing so, the project contributes to the long-term sustainability, competitiveness, and climate resilience of the European organic greenhouse sector.
