CIHEAM Bari – Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari
CIHEAM Bari is a centre for advanced education, research, and cooperation in the fields of sustainable agriculture, food systems, and rural development in the Mediterranean region. As part of the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (Centre International de Hautes Etudes Agronomiques Méditerranéennes, CIHEAM), it supports capacity building, innovation, and policy dialogue. The institute promotes agroecological approaches, climate resilience, and inclusive rural development through multidisciplinary research and training. With strong regional and international partnerships, CIHEAM Bari contributes to sustainable transitions in agriculture and food systems.
Role in the project
With its long history in multilateral and regional cooperation, CIHEAM Bari contributes to BIOGREENET by offering education and training, technical assistance, and capacity building to support sustainable agricultural development and knowledge exchange across the Mediterranean region. CIHEAM Bari leads Task 8.4 within work package 8, dedicated to fostering international knowledge exchange and innovation.
