AEGILOPS - Greek Network for Biodiversity and Ecology in Agriculture
AEGILOPS is a non-profit organisation based in Greece that promotes agrobiodiversity, organic farming, and the sustainable use of plant genetic resources. Through research, education, and collaboration with farmers, AEGILOPS works to support resilient agroecological systems and the conservation of traditional crop varieties adapted to local conditions.
Role in the project
AEGILOPS carries out transversal actions on agrobiodiversity and organic farming, aiming to strengthen the role of organic farmers in managing plant genetic resources and traditional varieties. With its expertise in crop diversification, AEGILOPS contributes to BIOGREENET by promoting the use and dissemination of locally adapted cultivars within Organic Good Practices (OGP).
